The Unmistakables
The present day is a day of many fakes. One has to be cautious about buying certain items, especially high end luxury items. Artwork and jewelry can be produced that is almost indiscernible from the real thing. Today we have fake news. Artificial intelligence can produce images and even videos that are totally false yet almost cannot be distinguished from real ones.
Jesus said that false Christ would arise with supernatural “proofs” of their divine origins (Matt 24:24, Mark 13:22). Miraculous signs are enough to convince almost anyone of the “truth” of their claims. Weren't the Messianic signs of the Gospels enough to indicate that Jesus was the Promised One? In the very end of the Last Days we are going to need more than Razzle McDazzle. We are going to need the unmistakable Scriptural sign of the Messiah.
...they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,...(Zech 12:10)
The Deliverer will at once be recognized by distinguishing marks.
And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.(Zech 13:6)
Someone will ask the Coming Salvation, Why does the Messiah have holes in His hands? He will answer, What? These? These are the wounds I suffered in the work of bringing my friends to safety. The real Messiah is unmistakable.
Jesus told us that many are going to claim that The Lord has already come and that He is located in such and such a place (Matt 24:23). Jesus said that you do not have to go and see if it is true. It is not true. How can we be so certain without going to check out the claims?
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matt 24:30)
The unmistakable sign of the real Jesus is that He comes with clouds. It is not possible to be fooled if we listen to the teachings of Jesus.
Our world has many tragedies. Storms and fires destroy entire cities. Sometimes the negligence or the greed of men allow horrific disasters to come upon the (relatively) innocent. Many are instantly prompted to be the first on the news or social media to claim these things as “the judgment of God”. I wonder if part of the Great Persecution of the last days is caused by people screaming “the judgment of God” so much that others want to silence them. In the Last Days great catastrophes are released upon the earth (Rev 6). These are great evils that God allows but directly caused by sin and evil entities. This is not the judgment of God. When the actual personal intervention of God is poured out, everyone knows it without question.
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Rev 6)
Now even the blind can see it. Now evil men can realize it. Everyone knows what this is. It is now unmistakable. The judgment of God has come.
God does not want to send judgment. In the Old Testament, He sent many prophets to warn others about a coming judgment. He even sends angels in the Last Days to warn people. God wants everyone to turn from their ways and be saved (2 Pet 3:9). However, there is a limit to God's delay. His righteous nature eventually will be seen. We must enter the Door of the Day of Grace while it is still open.
