Pre-Tribulation Tribulation

I have been a Pre-Tribber for 50 years. Normally a person does not hold to a certain doctrine for that amount of time and then change his mind, especially if he is in his older years. However, a love and respect for the Bible should keep us humble and ready to change our mind (repent) if the Scriptures show us a different path than we have been taking. Lately I have seen some possible faults in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture position mostly based upon some assumptions.

It is extremely sad to see the vicious attitude on the part of some regarding end-time events. These are events which are future, largely unknown (especially as to timing), and purposely left ambiguous by the Lord. Well known prophecy teachers have, many times, labeled people who disagree with them as “demonic”. Bull-doggedly arguing about unknowns is a characteristic of children. We can do better than that.

I have decided to make a separate section on my web page for Pre-Tribulation type articles. I do not want to remove them. I also do not want to group them under Speculation. They are above mere speculation yet less than authoritative Teaching, in my current opinion.

A recent poll asked Pre-Tribbers what they would do if they found clearly themselves in the Great Tribulation or worse. The vast majority said they would not change their opinion about their timing of end-time events. It seems that the Bible does not get in the way of what most people believe. Apparently if someone suddenly found themselves in the heavenlies and realized they had been raptured, they would insist on being sent back. “I'm a Post-Tribber.”

May Jesus come today! Yes, I know about the promised deceivers. A Bible Teacher, Nelson Walters said, “Expect the best and prepare for the worst”.
