Outer Darkness

There is no “outer darkness” in the Kingdom of God. However, there is such a thing in the Kingdom of Heaven. Three times in the gospel of Matthew Jesus warns of this place in His parables of the Kingdom of Heaven. The other gospel writer never hint at it anywhere else.

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt 8:12)

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt 22:13)

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt 25:30)

You do not want to be a natural person in the earthly, political Kingdom of Heaven. If you are a Believer in Christ, you are in the eternal Kingdom of God, anyway.

The Millennial Kingdom of Heaven certainly isn't a bad place to be but there is no security there. There is no heart peace there while, at the same time, there is no war or conflict. It is a near perfect environment as long as a person complies with outward performance. The Christian from the Church Age may be there occasionally but not as a natural person. They have a resurrection body that allows them to live on the earth but to also move in another realm, spirit.

You, as one who has placed faith in Christ, should not be trying to live under the impossible weight of perfect outward compliance. You are not supposed to be carrying the threats of the temporary Kingdom of Heaven while you have the eternal life of God inside you as your very essence.

In order to see the kingdom of God one must be born again.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:7).
