Get Ready to Meet Jesus At His Appearing
Are you ready to meet Jesus? The most urgent thing is that we be born again (John 3:7). The next most important thing is that we have lived a life of obedience to Him as Lord. We will all appear before Christ as Evaluator. This is an appointment that we must be ready for. We cannot get ready so we must live ready to face Him. But are you ready to literally meet Jesus at His soon appearing? That is a different thing, entirely.
By the fifth seal (Rev 6:9), God is unwilling to judge the earth just yet. At the sixth seal, however, the personal intervention of God and the Lamb is poured out. Something earth-shaking happens at the sixth seal. This is resurrection (Rev 7:9). At the same seal that initiates the wrath of God, there is war in heaven (Rev 6:12-17, 12:7). Things have been somewhat “normal” for many up to this point. Now strange events occur that have not been seen globally since the Flood of Noah's day.
Satan and his princes are thrown out of heaven and hurled to the earth. Now they are subject to earth-time and possibly limited to the physics of earth. In other words, they are not any longer operating at a frequency above the speed of light and are therefore visible to the natural eye.
Supernatural beings of immense size are slammed to the ground. They are almost as stunned to be in their new state as people are who see them. This sight is so frightening that people faint. Many have heart attacks because of fear to suddenly see such creatures (Luke 21:26). Others run and scream with insanity. However, Christians are not concerned at all. Why? Because Jesus told us in detail about all these things (Luke 21:25-28).
Jesus said that when you see these things begin to take place, stop working. Stop focusing on the ground. Straighten up! Look up! Focus on the clouds. Your redemption is drawing near.
Loud shouts, trumpet blasts, clouds, and God's angels. The evil angels are not the only supernatural beings now on the earth. The faithful angels are sent forth to gather all those who are to go meet the Lord (Matt 24:31). Because of the tall evil beings that are seen everywhere, because of the fear and death, because of thousands dropping over dead from heart attacks at the sight of these wicked angels, many will resist God's angels also.
Millions of these 7 foot tall beings of light will suddenly approach the true believers. It is time, sir. We have to go now! Will you be one of those who have the perfect assurance that they should confidently put themselves into the care of these heavenly strangers?
Jesus said something strange in Luke 17:32, “Remember Lot's wife”. Why did He say that? In talking about the signs of His appearing, He mentioned Lot's wife. When the time came for Lot to flee Sodom (Gen 19:25), God sent angels that had to drag Lot, his wife, and two of their daughters by the hand out of the city. Perhaps the wife just could not leave her house that she finally moved into after years of living in tents. Maybe one of her daughters was getting married next week. The grandkid's birthday was coming up in a few months. What would the neighbors think? She was not convinced that running off with strangers into the mountains was a good idea. She stopped and looked back at the city, missing her old life in Sodom. The heat and the blast from the destruction of the city consumed her and she instantly was crystallized into the salt ruins of the area.
This is what it means to be READY to go meet the Lord. It means to know these things ahead of time. It means to not be frightened by these strange events and have confidence in exactly what Jesus said to be ready for. You cannot get ready. You have to live ready to leave your natural life behind.
What if Jesus knows what He is talking about? What if the Bible is true? What if the prophecy charts are mistaken? He told us 16 times to watch, not in a vague, general sense but according to His specific signs. Left Behind is not the issue. Stay Behind is the problem.
Heaven is full of only people who want to be there. The Rapture takes people who want to go. Are you ready to meet Him?
