Martyrdom in the Last Generation
A peaceful Rapture would rob the Believers of the Last Generation of their potential rewards for Christian service. It would cut short the life span of an entire generation and hence their rewards for Christian service before their Lord. Practically an entire generation would be stunted in the coming things of God by being removed unexpectedly from the world. Being saved at all would be more than we deserve but God does not want things that way. He wants to lavish His goodness upon Believers for their life of faithful service in addition to eternal life. A secret, peaceful Rapture would rob young Christians of these potential rewards that He wants to give them.
God has a solution for that
In His wisdom God has devised a plan that will potentially accelerate His Rewards Program (1 Cor 3:14). In a very short amount of time a young Christian can even surpass the rewards that he would normally accumulate during a full lifetime. Very simply, God places the Rapture/Resurrection of the Church Age saints in the fall harvest season of the 6th year (Rev 3:10, 7:9), of Daniel's 70th week. This is according to my best Scriptural guess at this time. This is approximately during or after a season of Great Persecution.
Someone may say, “That's alright. I'll just sit in the back row of heaven. There's no need to make a big deal out of rewards”.
It appears that the Boss wants to do things this way. What you or I may want does not get a vote on the matter. Since we do not know the moment of His appearing we should live as servants expecting their Lord's return at any moment.
