Is Homosexuality Sin?
[Note to the unsaved: Do not worry about it. You already have problems that you do not even know about yet.]
To those who consider themselves Christians:
Is homosexuality sin? In some non-English translations, the term that is used is boy molesters. That gives an entirely different idea from homosexual. That is very interesting but the original texts laboriously point to the act of sex between two men (I think the idea of two women may also be implied.)
Is homosexuality sin?
Being a victim is not sin. Being in pain is not sin. Being born is not sin. Being born a sinner is not faulted if one is unable to understand his situation.
Knowing the Designer and Manufacturer's purpose and intention and then willingly violating it is.
And he (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, (Matt 19:4)
In fact, it is like the definition of sin. Is sin sin? Is green really green? No one is going to take that question seriously.
Christ died for us when we were sinners (Rom 5:8). Unless you are a sinner (and know it) there is no hope for you. God justifies the ungodly (Rom 4:5). But He does so with a purpose. One of those purposes is the following:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Rom 6:6)
If we love our sin, we tell Jesus that we do not want His help in dealing with and forsaking our sin (1John 1:6), including any forgiveness of it.
Several sins disqualify us from the future Kingdom of Jesus (I Cor 6:9,10) but possibly not from heaven. Homo- or Hetero- disobedience outside of God's boundaries will disqualify us. You, my friend, do not want any of this. It does not matter what I think or what anyone may think or want. You do not want to see the consequence of knowingly disregarding God's intentions.
