Did Noah Take Fish On The Ark?

Did Noah Take Fish On The Ark?

If Noah was instructed to take every kind of animal with him on the ark, did he take fish? Did he take largemouth bass? Or dolphins? No. He was instructed to take land animals and birds, all air breathing creatures (Gen 7:21-22).

Did Noah take giants on the ark?

Of course not. That was the reason for the Flood, to deal with the genetic corruption that came upon the earth.

Did Noah take Neanderthals on the ark?

Not if they were genetic corruptions. If they were a special human people group, there could be some Neanderthal DNA still in parts of the world population.

Did Noah go on safari to collect all the animals?

No. God brought all the animals that He wanted to save to Noah (Gen 6:20)

Did Noah take carnivores?

There is a Biblical suggestion that humans and animals enjoyed a relationship that was friendly before the Flood. This makes the existence of dinosaurs at this point unlikely. After the Flood this seems to have changed (Gen 9:2). Eating meat may have begun at this point. Nothing ruins a good friendship like eating someone. So perhaps eating meat was something that did not exist before the Flood.

Did Noah take dinosaurs on the ark?

They may have been from a previous civilization. If so, no. Noah did not take any dinosaurs if they were genetic corruptions. The Flood was trying to get rid of that. The book of Enoch talks about the fallen angels manipulating the genetics of plants and animals besides humans. The Bible talks about large sea and land animals and reptile types. Perhaps Noah took some baby lizard type animals although the Bible does mention the existence of large reptilian type creatures.

Was Noah a boat builder for traveling on rivers?

It is possible that Noah had some knowledge of small boat building for travel on rivers.

Did he have a construction crew to make the ark?

How does a 500 year old man with 3 toddlers (or infants) build an aircraft carrier-sized ship out of wood?

How old were Noah's sons when the Flood came?

Noah's son Shem was 98 years old on the ark (Gen11:10). We do not know about his other 2 sons. The lifespans of the first generations of humans were extremely long. Comparing this with verses about the Millennium, people may have been too young to marry and father children before age 100.

Did Noah have to collect wives for his young sons?

If they were too young at the time of the ark's departure, Noah may have had to “borrow” some young girls to be future brides for his sons.

The Youngest Humans and Animals Repopulate the Earth

The Bible does not say but it may have been practical to only bring baby or young animals on the ark. This way they would take up less room, eat less food, and they could repopulate the earth better than taking old, full grown animals. Noah took the youngest humans and youngest animals to repopulate the earth. Noah is the man (who holds the world record) who had his first children at the oldest point in life, 500 years old (Gen 5:32). Since their assignment was to repopulate the earth, it would seem wise to take the youngest breeding stock possible, both animal and human.

After the Flood, the typical human lifespan was drastically reduced in length. Fear of man was implanted into most animals. Eating meat was instituted. Official estimates place the world population at 8 billion in our day. There may not be that many but there are a lot. Everyone you see is a distant family member. We are all descended from Adam and Eve. Because of the Flood we are also all descendants of Noah.
