The Appointment

You and I have an appointment. It's serious but do not be concerned...unless you know you are in deliberate disobedience. I would be alarmed in that case.
Every Christian has a future evaluation appointment (2 Cor 5:10). This test has nothing to do with where you will spend eternity. It is a test of “materials”. This test reveals the nature of the Christian's service, not their salvation. If we are here at this evaluation at all, it is a good thing.
This isn't condemnation but it will be an awesome thing. This is good if you are here. If you are absent from this event, it would be worse than can be described.
This appointment is not to judge us as in a murder trial. It is more like being judged in an Olympic event. None of us are going to get a 10.0 but to get a 0.0 is concerning. You really have to try hard to get a zero grade.
This evaluation is concerning our time in the body (2 Cor 5:10). Christ as Savior has taken the judicial penalty for all our sins and has worked eternal redemption (Heb 9:12). This judgment has nothing to do with your eternal salvation. It has to do with the motive and nature of our service for the Lord. This is not referring to being a professional clergyperson. It refers to our being obedient to the Lord and allowing (or refusing) a transformation to take place in our soul.
Not one dust particle of the natural life can enter heaven. The “firewall” of God tests our service for Him. Some have minimal loss. Some stand knee deep in ash with nothing else. This is the “suffering of loss” (1 Cor 3:15). It has nothing to do with how much “good” you thought you did. It has to do with the proper motive and how closely we followed God's plan for our lives.
