A Possible Time Line of Final Events
This is a possible flow of final events that the book of Revelation tells us about. Why are future events mentioned at all in the Bible? One reason is that God wants us to know where we and things are going. He often does not give us enough information to satisfy our curiosity but he does tell us everything He wants us to know.
The book of Revelation may not be written in a Western world-view straight forward timeline. It may be more topical in places dealing with a theme instead of a strict sequence of events. However, there is at least a general flow throughout the book. If this is the actual case, we can see a basic movement of important events. In the later chapters of the book of Revelation we can see some important things that seem to move along in a normal manner.
Here is a possible succession of final events that God wants us to know about.
The Church Age may see the final expression of Mystery Babylon but not its judgment. (Rev 17 & 18)
Announcement and preparation of the Bride, the wife of the Lamb, is listed before the Millennium (Rev 19). We don't clearly see her until after. She doesn't have 1000 years to get ready.
Christ is riding a white horse (Rev 19). No clouds. No trumpets. No gathering this time. The Second Coming of Jesus causes the doom of the Antichrist and the False Prophet.
After the Second Coming of Christ, the parable of the 10 Virgins seems to point to Israel or others being admitted or denied entrance to the Millennium Kingdom.
The final installment of The Resurrection unto Life occurs here (Dan 12:2). The Second Death has no power over those involved (Rev 20:6).
IF The Millennium is the wedding feast THEN...The marriage of the Lamb has already taken place (Rev 20). She must be already ready before the Millennium. The 10 virgins (attendants) must also be ready before the Millennium. The invitation is extended to the guests. Even guests are blessed if they are there. The Bride is not invited to her own wedding. She is intricately involved in it.
We see the Bride descending from Heaven (Rev 21). The Bride is not seen until chapter 21; very late in the Bible. The New Jerusalem descends out of Heaven to the New Earth. Of course, no one is on the earth as it is renewed by element-dissolving heat.
If the Millennium is the wedding feast, after the marriage, then the Bride is from the Church (Jews and Gentiles). Not everyone is the Bride. Then, who are the guests? Unbelievers? Of course not. They may be the natural residents of the New Earth.
