"I Am Your Shield"

(Gen. 15:1)

On March 16, 1992 I received a letter from a Brother in Minneapolis which told me by the Spirit that the Lord was going to give a special blessing to me 10 days from the date I received the letter. The letter had arrived weeks before that day, however, because I had been out of the country. On March 26 I was again travelling; this time across the desert of the southwestern U.S. I had been expecting a great financial blessing that day. Out in the middle of the desert it seemed there would be no blessing, financial or otherwise. At about 9 P.M. I heard this song in my spirit. It blessed me and I trust the message of it will bless you.

"I Am your shield, your exceeding great reward

Oh, My Father, You are my reward;
I'll ask for no riches, I've been paid in full.
But if there should be a crown for me, I'll give it to Jesus.
For it is He, living in me, that pleases the Father.

Spirit of God, win through me a crown for Jesus.

Jesus, You're worthy of honor and praise;
I can do nothing.

If there's a reward, You did it through me, by Your Spirit - of power

By Jesus' pain, by Jesus' death, and His living again.
