Cycles of History and Prophecy
That which has been is that which will be [again], And that which has been done is that which will be done again. So there is nothing new under the sun. (Eccl 1:9 AP)
John the Apostle told us that there are many antichrists (I John 2:18). Satan is always looking for a new recruit to try to dominate the world (The Ceasars, Epiphanes, Hitler, etc). There have been several times when it would have been wise to flee Jerusalem/Judea (600 BC, 200 BC, 70 AD, etc).
Why should we think that history is done now? Why are there no more world conquerors? Why has spiritual evil given up trying to take over Jerusalem?
It has not stopped. Evil will continue the same cycle that it has from the beginning of the human race until Jesus steps in and stops it.
