Cat and Dog
There was a cat and a dog that lived in the same house. One day the dog came to a realization.
My master is amazing! He gives me food. He gives me water. He takes me for a walk.....He must be...God!
The cat also came to realization one day.
This is amazing. The human that lives here gives me food. He gives me water. He opens the door for me...I must be...God!
When God does something unusually wonderful in our lives, we assume that we must be...special! Could it be a gracious God that is special?
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matt 5:45)
Could it be that God sends me rain because I am a just person? It is just as possible that He sends rains on the unjust as well. God has done some very remarkable things in my life. Would it not be foolish for me, or others, to think that I must be special? Could it be that a loving God, for His own purposes, has permitted special things to occur in my life? That is the correct way to think about the wonderful works of God.
